Denislav Valentinov

Bulgarian choreographer, performer, and teacher based in Madrid for 20 years. Graduated in Contemporary Dance from RCPD Mariemma (Madrid). Since 2017, he has been part of the teaching team at the Cristina Rota Acting School. Since 2022, he is co-director of Lapuertaroja, where he develops the practice 'Occupy the Body' based on improvisation and bodily research stemming from contemporary dance and physical theater. In the 2024/2025 academic year, he is a guest professor at the Krastio Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (Sofia, Bulgaria). Since 2016, he has developed his own projects ('Forecasted', 'HOAX', 'The Suspended Man') and participates in the creation of several collective projects ('This Is Not a Title' and 'Architecture of Forgetting') alongside Miren Muñoz, and ('Time-out' and 'Offside') with Juan Cabrera and Inés Narváez.
